Al-Andalus Museum (La Torre de Calahorra)



• A museum looking at how Christians, Jews and Muslims lived together in Medieval Cordoba housed in a 13th century tower.


• Opening hours: Mondays – Sundays 10.00am – 2.00pm and 4.30pm – 8.30pm

House of the Sepharad (Casa Sefardi)




• A cultural centre which examines the lives of the Jewish community in Cordoba.



• It is close to the old Synagogue which can also be visited.



• Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 11.00am – 6.00pm
Sundays 11.00am -2.00pm



The Synagogue: Tuesday – Sunday 9.30am – 2.00pm and 3.30pm – 5.30pm



• Entrance price: Adults €4



Entrance to the Synagogue is free to EU citizens

Corredera Square (La Plaza de la Corredera)



• The site of this square was once the entrance to a Roman amphitheatre.


• It was also once a bullring.


• It is designed in a style which is typical in the north of Spain, but it is the only one of its kind in Andalucia.


• This square houses many different bars and tapas restaurants with huge terraces and is a lively hub until about 2am.

The Jewish Quarter (La Juderia)



• The old part of the city, surrounding the Mosque, is known as the Jewish Quarter.


• It’s a beautiful part of the city, filled with winding streets and old, traditional buildings.


• A small minority of the bars and restaurants around the Jewish Quarter can be tourist traps, but in general the majority of places are not much more expensive than in the centre.

• Original Arab baths which are still in use and where you can also get massages.


• It also has a traditional Arab tea room.


• Baths and treatments range from €27 - €70 and come highly recommended.

• A small zoo with a variety of animals including an elephant, baboons and wild cats.
